Tasting Notes

Very typical aromas of plum and white pepper on the bouquet. The wine announces itself gently, with softly rounded and juicy red and black fruits. Spice too. This wine is about texture: satin smooth yet velvety and cosseting. Pliable and supple but with a notable core holding it firm. Although a subtle cedar flavour is apparent, it doesn't overwhelm, just knits harmoniously. Elegant and refined but approachable, it lingers long.

Tasting Notes

Appealing aromas of spicy fruitcake, black cherry, blackcurrant and cedar. A nuanced, layered and silky textured palate which abounds with richly ripe black fruits - cherry, blackcur-rant, cassis - tempered by harmonious oak which is superbly integrated, making for a harmonious whole. There are cigarbox and spice notes apparent too, along with an inky depth of flavour. Overall, it's a refined and elegant wine with silky tannins, a plush opulence and a long, lingering aftertaste.
