Riebeeksrivier
Swartland
A historical farm along the Riebeeksrivier road, on the slopes of Kasteelberg, overlooking the Swartland. Purchased in 2007 with the goal to produce top Rhône-style varietals.

Climate
Hot and dry with cooler nights and a substantial differentiation between day and night temperatures. Typically Mediterranean.
Aspect
The vineyards are planted on eastern and southeastern slopes on the mountain, as well as some westerly facing slopes – providing a variety of microclimates within this terroirs.
Soils
The shale soils, similar to the soils of the Côte Rôtie in the northern Rhône and some sites in the Priorat area in Spain, express themselves strongly in the wine with unique varietal characteristics.
Varietals
Planted to Syrah, Carignan, Chenin Blanc, Cinsaut, Durif, Grenache Noir, Marsanne, Mourvedre and Roussanne.
